Minutes, IBIS Quality Task Group 19 July 2022 12:00-13:00 Eastern Time (09:00-10:00 Pacific Time) ROLL CALL ANSYS Curtis Clark Cadence Design Systems Yingxin Sun Intel Technology Michael Mirmak MathWorks [Mike LaBonte] Micron Technology * Randy Wolff SAE ITC Michael McNair Siemens EDA * Weston Beal Teraspeed Labs * Bob Ross unaffiliated Mike LaBonte Zuken USA * Lance Wang Everyone in attendance marked by * NOTE: "AR" = Action Required. ------------------------------- MINUTES ------------------------------------- Bob Ross conducted the meeting. Call for IBIS related patent disclosures: - None Call for opens: - None Review of previous meeting minutes: Minutes from the 12 JUL 2022 meeting were reviewed. Lance Wang moved to approve the minutes. Randy Wolff seconded. Without objection the minutes were approved. AR review: - Randy Wolff searched but did not find any more power-aware IBIS exmaples. Action completed. - Lance Wang found more power-aware IBIS examples for discussion of the quality checklist. - Bob replied to Atul's questions about the parser development quote. - Randy added the editorial issue around reference to figure 18 in specification v7.1 to the known issues document. New ARs: NEW ITEMS: Bob reported that we do not yet have a quote for the parser development. We are waiting for Atul to reply. He has asked questions to clarify the tasks, so the quote development is in progress. Bob mentioned TSCHK2 bug5 is on hold for now. Lance showed an example of a power-aware model with different test loads. He showed ISSO_* curves with voltage from -VCC to +VCC. The curves break off at very low voltage. The represents where the transistors turn off. The voltage in the table is a delta from [Voltage Range], but the current is actual, not delta. A bad exampled showed composite current curves which none reach 0A. The problem seems to be caused by the ISSO_* data extracted for only the pre-driver power instead of output stage current. The start and end current of all the I-T curves start at one voltage (about 70mA). This indicates a problem. ibischk produces warnings about ISSO_* current. These warnings point to the problem. The current should be 0A at V = [voltage range]. The current at V=0 should match the calculated value from pullup and pulldown curves. The voltage in ISSO_* tables not reaching [Voltage Range] might be considered a warning in the quality checklist. Tabled topics (no discussion without motion): - IBISCHK security fixes Weston moved to adjourn. Bob seconded. Without objection the meeting ended. Meeting ended: 12:43 ET Next meeting 26 JUL 2022
